LPSA SUMMER CAMP A SMASHING SUCCESS!

LPSA recently held it's first annual summer camp. Children of all ages and skills levels came from around the area to sharpen their skills and prepare for the soccer season ahead. With a diverse coaching staff hand selected for each age and skill level, all players attending the camp improved their skill and knowledge, and had a week filled with many fun moments.

The weeklong camp culminated with a series of scrimmages between the coaches and the players from each age group. The players were thrilled by the opportunity to impress the coaches on the field, and many lessons were reinforced as the coaches focused on rewarding positive play in the skill sets necessary for success in each particular age group. With a large turnout of participants and an overwhelming amount of positive feedback, the LPSA Annual Summer Soccer Camp is sure to be a week that many young soccer players look forward to each year.

Twisters U12 Girls at Allstate Sugar Bowl State Cup
Congratulations to Twisters U12 Girls, coached by Sam Beatty and Josh Harrouch, and trained by B.J. Scott. The U12 girls recently represented the Twisters Futbol Club at the Allstate Sugar Bowl State Cup by advancing out of their bracket on opening weekend in Metairie. This advancement qualified the girls to compete in Shreveport on May 1. The girls proved they can compete with the best in the state by maintaining a 0-0 tie through regulation and two overtimes, before eventually losing on penalty kicks. A job well done by the U12 Girls who will surely be looking for even more success heading into next season.
